“What’s the best diet to lose weight?”
I get asked this a lot.
And the reality is most diets work because underlying them are the same principal:
Cut back on calories (often too much so you’re starving most of the time)
Or totally cut back on something like sugar, carbs, or fats.
So yes, most of these plans work….
…well at least for a little bit.
See, when you cut too much or go extreme the diet will work…but only temporarily.
You may lose a few pounds.
But overtime that diet gets hard to stick to.
It becomes overwhelming.
So you fall off the wagon.
And you’re right back to your old habits.
The weight you lost comes rushing back on over the next few weeks or months (plus a few extra pounds).
So you’re back searching for the next best diet.
And the cycle continues.
So the real question isn’t about what diet you should do.
Because really, diets don’t work, at least not in the long run, and I’m assuming you want LASTING results?
You probably want to lose the weight and keep it off, am I right?
And the key to that is making long-term changes you can actually stick to.
Changes that become a habit.
That aren’t so overwhelming.
Changes that work in your life and get you results without going to extremes.
