Starting a workout program after not working out for nearly 3 years is terrifying. But Sherri’s triglycerides and cholesterol were rising. She was pre-diabetic and felt depressed every time she would look in the mirror. She knew she had to get started somewhere. So after seeing pictures of the ladies at BFF who looked like normal women, like her, she decided to get outside her comfort zone and give it a try. “I definitely notice a difference in my body and in my shape. BFF has also really got us women to understand not to worry so much about the scale. My clothes are looser and the things that I couldn’t wear before, I can now fit into. In the first six weeks, I lost more than six inches and 6-7 pounds. I did cheat, because we do have a cheat day. It wasn’t like I had to eat exactly everything that was healthy. Also, I used to have to take a lot of ibuprofen and use a lot of pain cream for the different problems that I have. I definitely feel less aches and pains. I sleep better.  I feel better. I feel less aches and pains. And the best part is, I have three grandsons, and I notice now that I can keep up with them!”

Nine months ago Briana wasn’t in a good place. After having 3 children she was suffering from postpartum depression and just didn’t have the energy to keep up with her kids. Like most moms she put her health and fitness on the backburner. She would then feel guilty and beat herself up, only to end up feeling worse. Briana knew she needed to do something different to be healthy, not just for herself, but for her kids too. That’s when she decided to join BFF. By staying consistent with her workouts, cutting back on sugar, and getting lots of support from other wome like herself she’s happier, stronger, less jiggly and more confident! “My biggest accomplishment is how I’ve changed my diet and mindset around nutrition. In the past, I would hop from diet to diet, pretty much having tried everything. I would have some success, losing the weight, only to gain it all back. Now I find it much easier to make cleaner food choices and actually enjoy it! All without having to do anything extreme. At BFF, I’ve learned how to focus on small changes that stick instead of having the all-or-nothing attitude that doesn’t really work in the long run. And now I can stick to eating just one cookie, enjoy it, and not feel guilty! My mindset has totally shifted!”

A year ago, Melissa, was taking care of everyone else but herself. Extra weight had crept on over the years of focusing on her kids and her family. So once the kids went back to school, she knew she had to try something different. Fast forward to a year later, and she’s lost 35 pounds and 14 ¼”inches, feels more confident and her clothes fit better.  She recently donated 4 garbage bags of clothes! She even doesn’t buy or crave the junk food anymore. By getting support and being in a group of amazing women who are on the same journey it’s really helped her to stay on track!

Jenn tried a lot of different workout programs, home workouts, you name it, but couldn’t find anything that worked. She was self-conscious and found large gyms to be intimidating.  That’s when she decided to take a leap and try something different.  That lead her to BFF. Since starting she’s been more consistent than she’s ever been! She’s dedicated to her fitness and now enjoys working out. She’s finally found something she can stick to and stay consistent with. She has so much more energy and stamina! She even recently wore a tank top when she was at the pool with her kids, something she normally wouldn’t do, and her husband noticed how toned her arms were!

I would follow the diet, then would just go right back to what I was doing before. Karen and her family recently moved from Rhode Island to Tampa. Before moving, she took control of her fitness and had reached a personal weight goal (145 lbs.) and was feeling trim and fit.

Eva got off track after a major life change. She changed jobs and was now working from home and so her workout routine changed. She noticed extra weight started to pack on. She tried home workout DVD’s, but it just wasn’t happening. Without accountability or support, it was way too easy to skip her workouts. “I ran my first 5k!”

Pam always wanted to do a 5k but never had the motivation to do one in the past. So when her daughter, encouraged her to join she decided it was time – she would give it a go. She completed the 5K, all without walking, for the FIRST TIME EVER! So, what helped her try something so challenging without a second thought? First, it was consistency. By being consistent with her workouts over the last few months at BFF she was able to build up the stamina to be successful. If she hadn’t been working out she knew she wouldn’t be able to accomplish a goal like this. Second, was motivation and encouragement. Pam mentioned that the weekly words of encouragement have really helped her to make changes to her life and mindset to help her be her best self and push through barriers she couldn’t before!

How Chris Went From a Size 14 to a Size 8!

Just over a year ago, Chris McGowan was coming out of the tail end of her cancer journey. She was weak, didn’t have a lot of energy and wasn’t where she wanted to be…something a lot of us can relate to when life has gotten us off track. She wanted to be able to see her kids graduate and get married. She had tried other programs in the past but never got out of them what she needed to. That all changed when she joined BFF. Since joining six months ago, Chris has lost 22 pounds, 14 inches, and went from a size 14 to a size 8! When I asked Chris what made the biggest difference in her success, her response was, “You don’t know how much support means to you until you need it. And I’m so much stronger and more muscular than I was!”

“Even as a personal trainer, I needed help getting my game plan together for a big race in October (AZ Half Ironman). I wanted to dial in my nutrition and get on a more consistent workout schedule as I knew my official training would be demanding.

I like group accountability and this program allowed me to keep on track with meal tracking and getting my workouts done as scheduled.

During the challenge, I lost 5 pounds but that wasn’t the most important indicator for me. I noticed changes in my overall body composition and my energy levels were stronger. Although I didn’t follow the meal plan to the letter, the recipes were easy to make and left me satisfied with each meal. I enjoyed the online coaching sessions and being a part of the Fox Fitness family…even from 3000 miles away.

I will continue to follow Becky and look forward to learning more from her as I continue my training and leading a healthy lifestyle. Thank you again!”
