What if you could boost your metabolism without counting calories, resorting to tiny portions or giving up  the foods you love?

Have you ever woke up, in a great mood, then you hit the scale to weigh yourself…

…And it hasn’t budged?

You instantly go from a great mood to feeling bummed and let down.

We’ve all been there and it’s not fun but here’s the thing…

If you’ve been working hard, especially if you’ve been weight training then this can be VERY misleading.

You can actually lose FAT while gaining MUSCLE which could keep the scale right where it is.

Your clothes may be looser.

Your friends may notice you look different.

You feel smaller.

But the scale says a different story…and I would ignore that scale.

I’ve seen it time and time again with the clients I work with. And its so easy to get caught up in that silly number than to see what’s really going on…that you are on track, that you are losing FAT, and that you are getting results!

Here I’ll give you an example.

One of my clients recently sent me this:

She said she lost only 4 pounds on the scale but when you look at her picture she looks DRASTICALLY different.

It looks like waaaaaay more than 4 pounds!

Wouldn’t you agree? She lifts 3-4 times a week, sometimes 5, and really pushes herself when she does lift.

So she’s lost A LOT of fat but put on quite a bit of muscle and looks AMAZING! I couldn’t be more proud of her!

Really the best way to track your progress is to take some photos or just see how your clothes fit.

That is going to be a much better indicator of your REAL progress.

If you’re getting smaller you’re on the right track so don’t give up. You may even want to ditch that scale for awhile or toss it in the trash 😉

This is such a good point. The scale definitely doesn’t always show the same as the body shows when you lose or tone. I’m the queen of always weighing myself, but I definitely go by how my clothes fit more than anything to know if I’m making improvements!
