Growing up I was SUPER shy. (Yep, that’s me on the right holding my kid sister doll) 😉
Anyhow, I was “scared to talk to people” shy.
And it followed me even into college where I spent more time locked up in my dorm room rather than having to face trying to meet new people.
I still have a bit of it in me from time to time, but there was a point when it all changed.
See I opened my first fitness business in 2008.
I quickly learned that being shy and avoiding people wasn’t going to get me where I wanted to go, especially when growing a business.
So, I stepped out of my comfort zone…
Yes, it was very very very uncomfortable but I knew it had to be done to reach my goals. So, I started attending networking events where I didn’t know anyone and even had to talk to random people 😨
I shot videos to share with the world…they weren’t great when I first started, but I was getting myself out there.
I went out of my way to try to meet and connect with new people.
Things I NEVER thought I’d do…at least not on purpose 😛
So here’s my point. Sometimes to get where we want to go in life we have to get uncomfortable.
Staying comfortable keeps you stuck. It keeps you right where you are.
Getting uncomfortable pushes you to new levels. To do things you never thought possible. And to truly become your best self.
So where are you avoiding getting uncomfortable? Especially when it comes to health and fitness.
Are you avoiding making a change because it might be tough? Because you have to step out of your comfort zone?
If so then realize you’re only going to stay stuck right where you are.
To get a different result something has to change!
You’re going to have to become a new you…and not let fear get in your way.
So what’s one small way you can get uncomfortable today?
